I’d like to start by thanking and congratulating you for making it to this point in seeking treatment and support. We are all fantastic, imperfect, works-in progress, and one of the hardest things to do in life is to ask for help when we need it…and we all need it.

I am Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Substance Abuse Counselor-in Training. I graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2017 with a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health  Counseling, with emphases in AODA and Trauma. I have four years of experience in the mental health field, having worked with Veterans, Crisis, Addiction, and College “populations”. In the context of our therapeutic time, however, it comes down to meeting with you as anindividual. We’ll start by getting a sense of your experience and identifying  your goals in treatment.

 

Depending upon where you’re at and what you want to work on, we can work connecting and processing with the things in the past, learning how to cope and build upon the present, and to realign your focus on your future. We are wonderful thinking, feeling, relational, behavioral beings, so I draw upon a range of modalities to provide resources and work with you to develop the areas and aspects of your life that need to be addressed.
