"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers

This quote has been central to my professional and personal development. I believe that everyone is striving to grow and change, but at times life can become confusing and unintuitive. In those times, we may need a space for reflection and contemplation. As a therapist, I strive to maintain that space for my clients and offer a collaborative approach to therapy.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s in clinical mental health from Northwestern University. I use both Solution-Focused and Person-Centered Therapy when working with clients. I believe people are the expert of their own lives and with the facilitation of a therapist, anyone can learn the tools needed manage and resolve troubling feelings and experiences. I work collaboratively with clients to help them focus on what strengths they already possess, and how those strengths can be developed further to resolve current and future struggles

I have experience working with adults and adolescents from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The effects of systemic trauma stemming from race, economic status, sexual orientation, or gender cannot be understated. I endeavor to create a therapeutic relationship with clients that allows them to explore their thoughts, behaviors, feelings, and experiences without judgement. I have clinical experience in helping clients with anxiety and depression, as well as learning to manage more complex diagnoses like schizophrenia.
