about me

Sydney is a Master’s of Social Work intern in her second year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her degree focuses on both mental health services and services for individuals with disabilities. She aims to create a non-judgmental and welcoming environment that allows for a safe and equal relationship between therapist and client. With 4 years of work in disability services and based on lived experience, Sydney is excited to be able to continue holding space for clients in all walks of life including: disabled, Autistic/ADHD/neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, polyamorous/non-monogamous, and kink-practicing/alt-sex clients.

Sydney believes that interpersonal connections, relationships, and communication are crucial for change. Working from an interpersonal framework, Sydney looks forward to exploring emotional processing and regulation with their clients. She is especially interested in supporting clients navigating a wide variety of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, identity, inter/intrapersonal experiences, relational complications, and trauma.

Sydney is also COVID-cautious and interested in how to make therapeutic practices generally more accessible for all - if you have any questions regarding COVID safety practices or would like to discuss your access needs, please reach out!
