I believe that therapy is the most vulnerable step you can take toward change, self-discovery, and healing. As your therapist, I will help you balance the dialect of acceptance and change in order to help you build your life worth living.
I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing. In my practice, I also draw on other evidenced based treatment such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. I also have experience using The Emotion Regulation Skills System, which is an adaptation of DBT for people experiencing cognitive challenges.
Using a trauma informed lens, I assess which modality would be best for my clients. I believe a therapeutic relationship between myself and my clients will help them thrive because they will learn how to regulate emotions, communicate effectively, have better relationships, tolerate painful emotions, make effective choices, and live in the present moment.
My background includes working with people of all ages who experience mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, post traumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders, and/ or personality disorders.
