The more we understand, the less fear and anxiety we feel. Therapy takes courage- no question about it. I firmly believe that therapy should be customized to meet the individual’s needs. My experience includes an eclectic blend of therapeutic techniques, and my specialty and passion lie in Cognitive Behavioral and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
My expertise, drive, and passion are best reflected in my work with adolescents and adults with eating and mood disorders. I have worked within multiple levels of care including outpatient, residential and crisis care. I earned my bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison and my master’s degree from UW-Whitewater. I have been working in the psychiatric field since 2004.
My greatest strength as a therapist comes from using my own life experiences as examples. The relationship between therapist and client is ultimately heightened when there is a firsthand understanding of what my clients’ experience.
It was once said, “Owning our story and loving ourselves throughout this process is the bravest thing one can ever do.” I can’t wait to help you rediscover your bravest and healthiest self.
